Volunteering is fun – and a great way to meet people and contribute to the health and vitality of our communities.
Bonnie Gommert, Executive Director of the Food For All Food Bank, has announced that the Spencerville food bank located in the United Church, 16 Centre Street is now operating every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Bonnie is looking for Spencerville-area residents who can volunteer their time to staff the extended hours. If you are interested, please contact Bonnie at 613-925-2444 or by email at foodforall@bellnet.ca
Pass this on to others in the community who might be able to help. Thanks!
The Spencerville Mill Foundation is dedicated to preserving the heritage of Edwardsburgh/Cardinal Township. The purpose of the Foundation is to restore and preserve the Spencerville Mill to ensure it remains an architectural focal point in the community. The Mill will be enhanced by the presentation of educational, cultural, historical and recreational activities and programmes benefiting visitors and residents of the Municipality of Edwardsburgh/Cardinal. For more information please visit their website at www.spencervillemill.com.
New members are always welcome to join the Board. Please call us at 613-658-5885 if you would like more information.

Have you a few minutes to spare? Care to make a difference in our community?
Then join the Battle of the Windmill Committee as once a month (from May to November) we meet to help keep this beautiful historical building open to the public. Joining is free and the meetings are about an hour and a half, so it doesn't take too much of our time.
We plan, toss ideas around, create days for fun and learning at the Windmill, and in general organize its opening time. It is your involvement that will help make this historical property something that Edwardsburgh/Cardinal can continue to be proud of.
Everyone welcome!

Friday Wing & Salad Night has become so popular in the Spencerville Community that we are looking for more volunteers to donate 5 hours per month, or more if you wish, to help out in the kitchen or in the fry shack. You can volunteer for 3-4 hours on a Thursday in the fry shack or volunteer on Fridays from 4:15-9:30 p.m. doing light kitchen duties. This is not a waitressing position. Since last year, this weekly event has doubled in size and we need more help to keep the community spirit alive. You do not have to be a Legion member to volunteer your time. We will also accept students who require their 40 hour volunteer certificate. Please call the Legion for more details or Diane Schmitz at 613-258-5139.
Please provide information on your group (including contact information!) to mail@twpec.ca and we’ll post it here.
